The craft beer taproom, bar and woman-owned brewery located in the historic Old City Waterworks building located near Cascades Park, knows exactly what moms want for Mother’s Day: brunch and booze. With the help of catering company Black Mimosa, the Sunday brunch offers items like shrimp and grits, salmon dip, red velvet waffles and a signature cocktail for $46 a person.

Blu Halo

Blu Halo, a cocktail bar and restaurant that makes you want to “come for the food, but stay for the vibe,” is inviting guests to feast at its Mother’s Day Brunch priced at $45 a person. The upscale northeast restaurant is offering an omelet station, seafood delicacies like half-shell oysters, a full service dessert bar for the kiddos and more.

Charlie Park

Charlie Park, a rooftop restaurant, is inviting guests to “celebrate the special women in your life,” offering an elevated dining experience with chef-curated dishes and springtime flavors. The menu includes a a frittata made with asparagus, roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions and Gruyère cheese, all topped with lemon and herb Gulf crab then served with an arugula salad and breakfast potatoes. Entrees start around $22.

Casa Tapas and Cantina, a tapas bar and restaurant, is offering a special “Coquette Celebration for all the lovely mamas.” The theme is cutesy with promises of sweet treats, bubbly mimosas and lots of coquette glam. Prices were not listed for the brunch.

Hummingbird Wine Bar

The locally owned wine bar is starting the celebrations early as its five year anniversary falls on Mother’s Day weekend. A Realm Cellars Tasting May 9 is starting it all off, Saturday includes live piano and oysters. The festivities conclude with a Mother’s Day brunch, “a toast to all the women who make the world go round.” The event includes “Sparkling and Spritzy” drinks to pair with sweet crepes or a bacon, ham and Swiss cheese Quiche Lorraine and more from the kitchen.

Jeri’s Love on a Plate

With reservations filling up on the Sunday holiday, Jeri’s Love on a Plate is coming to the rescue and staying two steps ahead with a special Mother’s Day dinner they are hosting May 9 and May 10. The “Jeri’s in the Evening” menu includes the “Porch Swing Pork Belly” entree. It is a pork belly confit with Southern fried rice, sweet tea ponzu, pickled okra, beet, egg and sesame. Finish the night off with a “Lemon Lush” limoncello cake. Entrees typically start around $20 for the evening menu.

JoEllen’s Restaurant & Bar

JoEllen’s, a Southern comfort food eatery is leaning into its foundation — “built on the reciprocal love between a son and mother” — and extends a warm invitation to guests for “Brunch & Jazz,” a snazzy way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Mom & Dad’s Italian Restaurant, a longtime operation that honors mom everyday hence the name, is switching it up by serving a special Mother’s Day brunch. Outdoor seating, cocktails and brunch fare will be offered at the restaurant located in northeast Tallahassee. It is $34 for adults and $15 for kids.
