A Hesperia man was hospitalized in critical condition following a solo-car crash along Apple Valley Road in Apple Valley on Wednesday night.
The wreck was first reported about 11:30 p.m. June 24 on Apple Valley Road, just north of Yucca Loma Road, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials said.
The driver, 26, was traveling south in an 2007 Honda Civic.
“The vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a residential block wall on the west side of the roadway,” the sheriff’s department said in a written statement. “[The driver] was ejected from the vehicle and suffered major injuries.”
Paramedics took the injured man to a hospital, where he was subsequently rushed to a trauma center by helicopter for further treatment.
Sheriff’s officials described his condition as “critical but stable.”
