451 Spirits to Close Bottle Shop and Partner with Echo Spirits Distilling Co.

Clintonville distillery 451 Spirits is closing its production space and bottle shop at 590, Suite D, Oakland Park Ave. at the end of July. But fans of the distillery need not worry: Owner Chad Kessler announced on Instagram that the brand will remain in business through a partnership with Echo Spirits Distilling Co.

“The folks at Echo and I share similar origin stories and have the same ambitions and goals,” Kessler said in an email.

While 451 will no longer have a bottle shop, pop-up events and tastings will still occur around town. Going forward, production of the brand’s spirits will happen at Echo, with bottles available for purchase at state liquor agencies.

“I’m just really happy to have found a path forward and keep this dream of mine alive,” Kessler said. “Even though change can be scary, I feel really good about this move and the next era of 451 Spirits.”
