Frost advisory issued for early Saturday, National Weather Service says

A frost advisory has been issued for Saturday morning, May 2, for central Ohio and most of the rest of the state, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

The advisory is in effect from 12:01 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday, May 2, the weather service said, and affects Franklin, Delaware, Licking, Fairfield, Pickaway, Madison and Union counties in central Ohio.

Temperatures early Saturday could fall as low as 35 degrees, the NWS said, resulting in frost formation.

Frost could harm or kill sensitive outdoor plants. The weather service warned that people should take steps to cover and protect tender plants from the cold.
