LANSING — A Lansing teenager has been charged in connection with a shooting incident outside a school building on Pleasant Grove Road on April 30.
Howard Davis Jr., 18, was arraigned Friday, May 1 on eight counts, including assault with intent to murder, court records indicate. A magistrate set a $750,000 cash bond for him.
Davis was represented by appointed counsel at his arraignment, and no attorney was listed for him in court records.
The incident happened about 9 a.m. at Pleasant View School in the 4500 block of Pleasant Grove Road. The school is home to the Lansing Learning Hub and Capital Area K-12 Online.
Lansing police said a suspect was arrested and no one was shot. They declined to release any other information about the incident. The Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office said the incident involved two students at Pleasant View.
School officials said no weapon made it into the school.
