On Monday morning, the bracket was revealed for the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament. While USC will not be hosting a regional at Dedeaux Field, the Trojans are headed to the postseason for the second year in a row.
USC will be the No. 2 seed in the College Station Regional. The Trojans will open the tournament against No. 3 seed Texas State on Friday. Also joining them in the region are No. 1 seed and host Texas A&M and No. 4 seed Lamar.
This marks the first time since 2002 that USC has made consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. Last season, the Trojans earned the No. 3 seed in the Corvallis Regional. They won their first two games there, before falling twice to host Oregon State to be eliminated from the tournament.
The regional round of the NCAA Tournament is double elimination. In order to advance to the super regional round, teams need to win three or four games, which will be played between Friday and Monday. USC is looking to get to the second weekend of the tournament for the first time in 21 years.
First pitch between USC and Texas State is set for 6:00 p.m. Pacific time/8:00 p.m. Central time Friday. The game will be televised on ESPN+.
