The Lucerne Valley Fireworks Committee will host its rescheduled America’s 250th Birthday Celebration and Fireworks Spectacular on Aug. 29 at Pioneer Park.
The rescheduled fireworks show and patriotic celebration will run from 3 to 8:30 p.m. at Pioneer Park, next to the San Bernardino County Fire Station on Old Woman Springs Road in Lucerne Valley.
The party will include food vendors, games, activities, local vendors, a beer garden, a tribute to veterans and a fireworks show at dark.
Last month, the committee’s Independence Day-themed fireworks show and community festival, scheduled on Saturday, June 27, was postponed due to potential high winds and fire danger, the Daily Press reported.
That night, committee member Angie Miller told the Daily Press that postponing the fireworks show in Lucerne Valley was “the right call,” as strong winds blew through the area.
Spring Valley Lake’s 21st annual Fireworks Show, which began at 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, in Victorville, went off without a hitch despite it also facing a potential shutdown because of the wind.
