Brevard’s own David Bender will be competing at Wimbledon starting July 9 in the 14-and-under division.
Bender traveled with his coach, Ruben Vanoppen.
The 14&U tournament will be played July 9–12 at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in London.
Bender is a member of Kiwi Racquet and Fitness Club. Vanoppen is the Kiwi Pro.
The 14-and-under championships at Wimbledon bring together top regional and international junior players to compete on the historic grass courts, following preliminary practice days and regional qualifying phases.
According to wimbledon.com, “the international 14&U competition runs concurrently with the later stages of the senior and main junior draws, serving as a global showcase for developing tennis talent.”
