One outlet does not have Notre Dame with a top QB/WR duo

Recently some analysts have been putting out their top quarterback and wide receiver duos for the 2026 college football season, with Notre Dame’s CJ Carr and Mylan Graham being included in On3’s JD Pickell’s rankings.

However, that is not the case with all of them, as SleeperCFB has taken the same assignment but didn’t have an Irish pair on its list. It hard to make a concrete argument against this ranking, while it was neat to see Pickell having the Notre Dame stars on there, there is plenty of uncertainty within the wide receiver unit.

Both transfers, Mylan Graham and Quincy Porter, didn’t get much playing time at Ohio State. Returnees Jordan Faison and Jaden Greathouse both some with their own questions. Can the former dual-sport star finally emerge as a legit No. 1 option for Carr, as Faison has put his full focus on football over lacrosse. Greathouse just hasn’t been able to stay on the field, as injuries have derailed a promising career.

SleeperCFB didn’t explain their rationale for not having two Notre Dame players in its list, but you have to believe that if they redo this later in the season, there will be a duo on there. A go-to receiver will emerge for the Irish, it’s just too hard to say who that will be at this moment.
