City launches new Victorville NOW mobile app to report nonemergency concerns

City leaders announced Friday the launch of Victorville NOW, a new customer service app, designed to provide community members with an opportunity to report concerns.

The app allows individuals to report non-emergency concerns such as potholes, graffiti, streetlight outages and more. However, emergencies should be reported by calling 911, Victorville city officials stated.

To report an issue, app users can snap a photo, describe the concern and send a request from their location, where the app will geo-locate the area. App users can also manually enter the service address.

A list of common concerns is available in the app to speed reporting. If preferred, reports can be submitted without photos.

Service requests will be routed to the correct city department to address issues. Users can also track the progress of their request via the app and receive confirmation when their concerns have been resolved.

The new app is part of the city of Victorville’s efforts to strengthen communication and outreach with residents, officials stated.

Residents can download the Victorville NOW app for free from the Apple App Store for iPhone or the Google Play Store for Android devices.

Individuals without a mobile device can continue to submit service requests on the city’s website at vv.city/reportaproblem or by calling 760-955-5000.
