The online gambling and entertainment website Winna analyzed monthly search volumes for nearly 50 cocktails to uncover the Golden State’s top picks. The results? Somewhat surprising, we say.

Paul Mertens, CEO of Winna, says cocktails have often been a centerpiece of holiday celebrations, when Americans roughly double their alcohol consumption between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, with internet search intrest gravitating toward familiar, crowd-pleasing drinks for gatherings.
So what are Californians searching for when thinking about cocktails this holiday season?
If cocktails aren’t your thing, Californians also lean toward Bud Light for beer, Woodchuck for cider, Hennessy for spirits, and Beringer for wine.
How California’s favorite cocktails were determined
The rankings are based on average monthly search volumes from Google Keyword Planner, measured over the past 12 months. Analysts reviewed 49 different cocktails to identify the five most-searched drinks in California.
