Bring out the paper bags.
Quarterback Brady Cook and the New York Jets (3-12) got roasted yet again—this time against the New England Patriots (12-3) on a bitter and damp Sunday afternoon in East Rutherford during the NFL’s Week 17 slate. It was a brutal 42-10 final.
The weather was merely an insult to injury for Jets fans. Patriots QB Drake Maye continued making a case for MVP with a whopping five touchdown passes to five separate receivers alongside a 90.5 completion percentage.
On the flip side, everything from an ugly fumble on an exchange between Cook and center Josh Myers to a pair of careless roughing-the-passer and taunting penalties pointed to a miserably Jets loss.
