Appleton police arrested a 17-year-old in connection to a June 7 shooting at Arbutus Park that injured another teen, the department announced in a June 24 news release.
Police responded to the shooting around 1:45 a.m. June 7 at Arbutus Park, 556 W. Packard St. Officers found a teen with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Investigators determined the shooting was a “targeted confrontation” between two people who knew each other, the release said. A 17-year-old was arrested June 24, booked into the Outagamie County Jail and is expected to face three felony charges: reckless injury and two counts of recklessly endangering safety, according to the release.
The teen has not been officially charged. The Post-Crescent does not name suspects until they are charged.
