Just because the ASUL championship series between the Utah Talons and Chicago Bandits has wrapped doesn’t mean softball is done for the summer at Davis Diamond. In fact, one of Texas A&M’s fastest‑growing offseason traditions is about to take center stage. The 2nd Annual Texas A&M Football Celebrity Softball Game is set for July 29 at 5 p.m., bringing a full slate of entertainment, fan engagement, and cross‑sport collaboration.
The Aggie football program introduced the Celebrity Softball Game last year, and it immediately became a hit. The kind of event that felt fresh, fun, and perfectly tailored to the modern college sports landscape. It’s a chance for fans to interact with players in a relaxed setting, for different A&M programs to collaborate, and for the football team to build chemistry heading into fall camp. It also reflects how Coach Mike Elko and his staff continue finding creative ways to push the program forward, both on and off the field.
This year’s edition is bigger, bolder, and built on the momentum of year one. The staff took what worked and added new layers to make the event feel more like a true summer entertainment product rather than just a team activity. Among the additions for 2026:
