The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine has officially wrapped, and while the event is best known for showcasing elite athleticism and boosting draft stock, there’s also a strategic layer to what players choose to participate in. This year, only six of the 319 invited prospects completed every drill, measurement, and interview—and one of them was Texas A&M standout Chase Bisontis.
For Bisontis, the decision paid off.
The three-year starter moved exceptionally well for an offensive lineman, clocking a 5.02-second 40-yard dash with a 1.76 10-yard split, numbers that immediately grabbed the attention of scouts. He backed that up with a 32-inch vertical and an 8’9” broad jump, further reinforcing his explosiveness and lower-body power.
Bisontis looked smooth and controlled throughout the on-field drills, showing the balance, footwork, and short-area quickness that evaluators covet in modern offensive linemen. One draft analyst even listed him among the prospects who raised their stock during the week, praising how natural he looked in pass protection—no surprise given he played offensive tackle as a freshman at Texas A&M.
“Bisontis added an excellent workout to his résumé on Sunday. He moved like an H-back during his 5.02-second 40-yard dash after putting up a 32-inch vertical jump to display his explosiveness. Bisontis played offensive tackle as a freshman at Texas A&M, so it was no surprise when he looked right at home in pass protection drills. His short-area quickness was impressive, too. I see him stepping in as an immediate starter at the next level.” – Draft analyst Chad Reuter
Texas A&M is poised for a historic showing in the 2026 NFL Draft, and Bisontis’ performance only strengthens that outlook. If he can push his way into the first round, the Aggies could produce three first-round picks, further proving that College Station has become a place where players are developed into NFL-ready prospects.
