Warning: The following contains major spoilers for Season 50, Episode 12 of “Survivor.”
The “Survivor 50” finale (airing May 20) is nearly upon us, and the stakes rise with each episode, regardless of whom viewers are rooting for.
Season 50, episode 12, titled “Inconceivable,” aired on Wednesday, May 13. Loyalty was placed aside in this episode as players considered the critical question: Who can I sit next to in the final three chairs and beat?
With a $2 million prize at stake and only one hidden immunity idol remaining, no player was safe in the next two votes − immunity was the only thing keeping anyone in the game.
Here’s a recap of what you missed, including who went home.
Who was voted off ‘Survivor’ last night?
Rick Devens, who competed on season 38, was eliminated during season 50, episode 12 of “Survivor.” He joined the jury after weeks of causing chaos at camp and risking his game during the Mr. Beast twist, which doubled the prize pot.
During season 38, the broadcast journalist was voted out early, returned to the game and reached the final four before losing a fire-making challenge to winner Chris Underwood.
The next “Survivor” to be eliminated was the beloved and legendary player, Cirie Fields.
The New Jersey nurse knew her time was up after the tribe’s initial target, Tiffany Ervin, won immunity, and after Rizo Velovic threatened to play his idol.
Fields’ latest run marked her fifth appearance on the U.S. version of Survivor. She previously finished fourth (season 12), third (season 16), 17th (season 20), and sixth (season 34). She also placed fourth on the Australian franchise’s themed season, “Australia vs. The World,” and is widely regarded by fans as one of the best players to never win.
Outside of “Survivor,” she also competed on “Big Brother” Season 25, “Snake in the Grass,” and was the sole winner of the first “Traitors” season.
The newest castaways joined the jury with Ozzy Lusth and Emily Flippen, who were eliminated last week.
