The search for the dog who went viral for wistfully watching another dog eat a hot dog at a Miami Marlins game is over, and the Marlins are planning on giving him the best day ever.
After television cameras caught the dog wistfully watching the other dog enjoy his treat (without trying to steal it, because he was, in fact, a very good boy), the Marlins put out a message on June 23 in an attempt to find the pup to reward him.
The dog’s owner, Peter Silveira, responding to the callout on X, shared that the dog’s name is Jonah, and that his hobbies include chasing squirrels and eating ice cream.
Jonah, the dog who went viral at the Miami Marlins game, will get a ‘dream day’
Jonah, the 6-year-old cunucu, will get to enjoy a “dream day” at loanDepot Park on July 12, the Miami Marlins said.
“Born in Aruba, Jonah is a rescued cunucu who found his forever home with the Silveira family thanks to New Life for Paws,” the Marlins announced on social media. A portion of sales from every ticket will go to support local animal rescues, the team said.
You can buy tickets for Jonah’s Dream Day and support local animal rescues at Marlins.com/Jonah.
