Heath duo accused of using public bathroom camera to make child porn

A Heath man and woman face criminal charges after prosecutors allege in court documents they were creating child pornography when they put a camera inside a public bathroom in Newark.

Brianna N. Nethers, 23, and John M. Nethers, 43, each face one count of pandering sexual material involving a minor, Licking County Common Pleas Court records show.

In a criminal complaint, police allege Brianna Nethers put a hidden camera from her purse inside a public bathroom in Newark before bringing a minor to that area to engage in sexual activity. Police allege that John Nethers then uploaded the video to his laptop.

Police allege another video shows Brianna Nethers putting the camera on a hidden purse in a public restroom in Licking County, though the complaint doesn’t state in which municipality. In the video, several people use the bathroom, including minors, police allege in the complaint

Newark police found several devices June 24, including John Nethers’ laptop on which they allege they found files containing the videos, according to the complaint.

Deputies arrested both of them June 24, and they each had bond hearings June 25, court records show.
