After two historic storms swamped neighborhoods on the East Side in the past week, city officials will gather at Cincinnati City Hall at 10:30 a.m. to give an update on cleanup efforts from the flooding and how residents can get help.
Mayor Aftab Pureval declared a state of emergency on July 21. The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Fire Department are assessing the damage from the storms on July 17 and July 21 that dumped several inches of rain on East Side neighborhoods in a short period.
Rainwater poured into homes and businesses in Oakley, Hyde Park and Mount Lookout.
