A new NBC Dateline will air about a death that occurred in Indiana back in 2020.
On Friday, July 24, “The Mushroom Mystery” will air and tell the story of David Fouts, a Pendleton resident whose body was found in Noblesville on April 24, 2020, with poisonous mushrooms in his stomach.
His wife, Katrina, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder in 2022 and was sentenced to serve 34 years in prison. A former Richmond police officer also was charged in the case, but died before his trial.
“The Mushroom Mystery” will feature interviews with the woman who found the body Jennie Thomas, friends of the victim Matt Tanner and his wife Chris and an expert in mycology and professor at Purdue University Dr. Mary Catherine Aime.
