The Lincoln Highway was America’s first planned, improved and promoted transcontinental automobile route. Over 250 days, the Facebook page Lincoln Highway Heritage Byway will highlight a different stop daily, from monuments and museums to restaurants and roadside markers, on the Lincoln Highway Heritage Byway, a designated National Scenic Byway.
250th anniversary of the United States trailer display

Wilson Trailer has created a custom vinyl-wrapped grain trailer featuring the American flag. The trailer is displayed on the roadside. Throughout the year, it will travel across the United States and be showcased at various farm shows.

The 56th season of Southeast Iowa’s Bel Canto Chorale will feature the various genres that define distinctively American repertoire as part of the celebration of America’s 250th birthday. Adults $8; students of all ages free.
‘The Legacy of 4-H’

This new documentary from Iowa PBS explores the origins of the nation’s largest youth organization, tracing its roots to the early 1900s while celebrating Jessie Field Shambaugh, known as the “Mother of 4-H,” for her lasting influence on youth education. Through history and reflection, the film shows how 4-H has empowered generations with skills, leadership, and a commitment to community. Free with registration at iowapbs.org.
