After announcing her commitment to Iowa women’s basketball out of the transfer portal, former Georgia guard Jocelyn Faison has officially put pen to paper and signed with the Hawkeyes.
A 6-foot-1 wing out of Atlanta, Ga., Faison was highly regarded as a high school recruit, ranking as the nation’s No. 79 player, the No. 16 small forward, and the No. 4 player in the state for the 2025 class, per 247Sports.
“We’re so excited to have Jocelyn. She has an extremely high ceiling and brings great length and versatility,” Jensen said. “I’m looking forward to working with her in our system and welcoming her to the Hawkeye family.”
In her true freshman season with the Bulldogs, Faison saw limited playing time. In 25 games played last season, Faison totaled 32 points, 34 rebounds, 14 assists, six steals, and four blocks while averaging 7.8 minutes per game. Faison will hope to find an expanded role in Iowa City.
Faison joins fellow Georgia transfer Dani Carnegie and Oklahoma State transfer Amari Whiting among the Hawkeyes’ transfer portal additions.
With Faison now a member of the program, Iowa has utilized nine of its 15 allowed scholarship spots for the 2026-27 campaign, which Jensen and the Hawkeyes will seek to bolster even further as the offseason moves along.
