Dallas County residents will have a slate of candidates on the ballot vying to represent five new districts on the county’s Board of Supervisors.
The county in late January finished redistricting its map to reach five members — up from three — on the board. Voters will use the new map in the June 2 primary and Nov. 3 election.
The five supervisors elected in November will begin their terms in January 2027, according to the county’s website. The supervisors must live in and represent a specific district but will continue to be elected at-large.
Also on the ballot are candidates for Dallas County attorney, recorder and treasurer. Those races are unopposed, according to candidate filings due Friday, March 20.
March 24 marks the first day voters can request primary election absentee ballots from the Dallas County Auditor’s office. The last day to submit a request is May 18.
