Is Aliyah Boston playing in Saturday's Indiana Fever game vs. New York Liberty?

INDIANAPOLIS — Aliyah Boston is questionable for the Indiana Fever game vs. the New York Liberty with a right lower-leg injury. She missed Friday’s 110-107 victory vs. Seattle; Makayla Timpson made her first career start in place of Boston.

Boston has missed three games this season. She returned for the second game of a back-to-back earlier this season after being held out of the first game.

Fever coach Stephanie White said Boston’s absence was not related to “anything specifically” from Wednesday’s loss to Golden State prior to Friday’s game.

“I think it’s just the compilation of games, so to speak, and information,” she continued. “And it’s back-to-back. Again (we are) sort of prioritizing based on the schedule.”

Boston, a four-time WNBA All-Star, is averaging 17.2 points and 8.7 rebounds through 22 games.

Boston first suffered the injury during Unrivaled in February and has been dealing with it through the WNBA season. She did not play in two of the three preseason games, then missed the first regular-season game of her professional career on May 17.

Caitlin Clark (back) is listed as probable for the 17th time this season on the pregame injury report. White said Friday the plan “as of right now” is for Clark to be available Saturday.

Timpson scored 8 points with 9 rebounds against Seattle.
