A person was found dead July 18 in a retention pond on Columbus’ East Side, Dispatch news partner NBC4/WCMH-TV reported.
Columbus fire crews responded around 11:50 a.m. July 18 to the 300 block of Lake Crossing Avenue, just east of John Glenn Columbus International Airport, after a passerby found a body in a retention pond, Battalion Chief Brian Barnhart said in the NBC4 report.
Upon arrival, crews conducted a recovery operation, according to the NBC4 report. Columbus police are investigating.
As of 4 p.m. July 18, authorities had not release any more details.
