Hoosier Hills Food Bank agency staging volunteers

The Hoosier Hills Food Bank (HHFB) is welcoming volunteers back into its programming starting with individuals and small groups to assist with cleaning, sorting, stacking and staging available food for agencies to select and load. 

Age requirement: 18 years and older

Event help for 2026 Dawg Gone Walk & Fiesta

Brown County Humane Society’s Dawg Gone Walk & Fiesta is a fun-filled day where pets and owners alike enjoy contests, games, demonstrations and a ceremonial walk around Deer Run Park in Nashville. Last year’s event drew over 150 dogs and 300 people. Volunteers for the 2026 Dawg Gone Walk & Fiesta will help with setup of the event in the morning and then during the event volunteers help to run one of seven games, help sell tickets and merchandise to attendees and more.

Date and time: Sunday, May 17, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (Multiple shifts available)

City of Bloomington Animal Shelter Wish List

Help Bloomington Animal Shelter address and respond to all companion animal needs in the community by fulfilling a wish from their wish list. Wish list items include dog treats, wet and dry cat and dog food, hand sanitizer and a variety of laundry supplies.
