Why a Washington business is relocating to a different part of town

After eight years in Washington’s Cherry Tree Shopping Center, the team at Get Yourself Motivated is moving to a new site.

The 15,000 square-foot facility under construction on Cummings Lane will be a fully equipped fitness center offering personal training, a designated women’s only facility, group boot camps, tanning beds, saunas and 24-hour access.

Regional manager Tony Falcon said the new site will also offer Rush Bowls frozen fruit products and a small Lululemon apparel store.

“Our membership had grown past the capacity of space we had to work with in Cherry Tree and to continue our growth we needed more space,” he said. “With us wanting to add the saunas, Rush Bowls, and Lulu, the Cherry Tree space could not accommodate that.”

Falcon hopes construction of the new Cummings Lane facility will be complete by the end of summer and that the new site will open in August. Get Yourself Motivated will coordinate with the Washington Chamber of Commerce to organize a grand opening event.

“It is right off an up-and-coming development area of Washington, and it is creating more opportunity for us to expand our services and better accommodate our current members,” Falcon said. “We are very excited to bring all the new amenities and businesses to the Washington area.”

In addition to the Washington facility, the business operates fitness centers in Pontiac and Taylorville.
