The 2026 Ohio High School Athletic Association state softball tournament gets underway Wednesday, June 3, at Firestone Stadium in Akron. The five-day event runs through Sunday, June 7.
Champions will be crowned in seven divisions, with 21 games to be played at the historic stadium over five days.
Walsh Jesuit, in Division II, is Summit County’s lone state qualifier.

According to AccuWeather, storms could return Saturday. The temperate was 79 when play resumed and conditions had turned more humid. Showers and potential heavy thunderstorms could develop early Saturday evening.
Rain delay halted play Saturday at Firestone Stadium
Action was suspended early Saturday afternoon for about 90 minutes, delaying the start of the Liberty Union-South Range Division V state semifinal. That game, scheduled for 12:30 p.m., started just after 2.
