The much anticipated 2026 NBA Draft has finally arrived after months of anticipation created by the talent at the top of the first round, including Northeast Ohio’s own Darryn Peterson.
For the Cleveland Cavaliers — whose only scheduled pick is the 29th pick of the first round — the draft could be a relatively quiet one.
But after ultimately not being a major player in the first blockbuster trade of the offseason, the Bucks trading Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Heat, don’t be surprised if the Cavs make some type of move beyond simply making their pick at No. 29..

How to watch, stream the 2026 NBA Draft
The first round is Tuesday, June 23 and will be broadcast nationally on ABC and ESPN at 8 p.m. ET. The second round on Wednesday, June 24 will air only on ESPN.
Fans can also stream both nights of the draft on ESPN Unlimited, the ESPN app and on Fubo.
How long do teams get to take to make their NBA draft pick?
During the first round, each team will have five minutes to make their selections. For the second round, teams will have four minutes to make their picks.
