A Washington woman pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of child pornography.
Robyn Polston, 43, has been sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison. She was indicted last November, according to Cassandra Mullikin, an assistant state’s attorney for Tazewell County.
Polston committed two separate acts of sexual penetration with a person older than 13 and younger than 18 between March 2024 and February 2025, according to a bill of indictment. She also photographed a minor during acts of sexual penetration on two occasions between March 2024 and February 2025, according to prosecutors.
Polston received a five-year sentence for each assault charge and four and a half years for each child pornography charge. She will serve the sentences consecutively.
Under state statute, Polston also must register as a sex offender. After serving her sentences, she will be on supervised release for at least three years and possibly for the rest of her life.
