Bears to hold two joint practices with Bengals, Titans this summer

The Chicago Bears will return to Halas Hall in late July for the start of training camp, where rookies are set to report on July 25 and veterans to report on July 28. While the Bears will get plenty of practice against themselves, we can also expect some joint practices once again for Ben Johnson’s squad.

The Bears will hold two joint practices with their preseason opponents this summer. That starts with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, Aug. 20, ahead of their Week 2 preseason contest and concludes against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, Aug. 27 before their preseason finale. All joint practices will be open to the public.

This is the second straight year that Johnson has organized a joint practice with a preseason opponent. Last summer, Chicago hosted the Miami Dolphins for what was an intense and memorable joint workout before their preseason game.

The Bears are expected to announce their full training camp schedule this week, according to the Sun-Times, and it’s expected to include a handful of open practices for the public.
