ROCKFORD, IL — Domingos en el Parque is returning to Rockford this summer and fall with four free community events celebrating art, music, and culture.
The series, organized by the Rockford Park District, features themed events at various locations across the city. Admission is free.
Here’s a look at this year’s schedule.
June 28: Rockford Legends: The series kicks off with a celebration of Rockford Legends at Levings Park with ‘80s and ‘90s Spanish rock and pop.
July 19: Commemorating Colombia’s Independence Day: The second event honors Colombia’s Independence Day with a special celebration at the Sinnissippi Music Shell.
Sept. 13: Fiestas Patrias: The series continues with Fiestas Patrias, a celebration of Latin American independence and heritage. The venue has not yet been announced.
Oct. 25: Day of the Dead: The series wraps up with a Day of the Dead celebration at UW Sports Factory.
