SPRINGFIELD, IL – A luxurious Springfield home has sold for the second year in a row–this time, crossing the $1 million threshold.
The home was the most expensive sold in Sangamon County in the month of May. The ten most expensive homes sold in the area all surpassed the $500,000 mark in the month.
While according to Realtor.com, a real estate platform, the median sale price for a home in Springfield is $182,000, below the national median sale price for U.S. homes is about $429,300 for existing homes in May 2026, according to the National Association of Realtors.

10. 7528 Wentworth Drive, Springfield
Price: $550,000
