A 4-year-old child suffered “serious” but non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in Peoria on Tuesday afternoon.
Peoria police responded to the 400 block of NE Adams Street around 4:46 p.m. to a report of a child struck by a vehicle. At the scene they found a 4-year-old child receiving treatment from first responders.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and fully cooperated with law enforcement, according to the Peoria Police Department.
No arrests have been made, and the incident remains under investigation.
