Week 11 Polk County high school football is wrapped up. And that means the 2025 regular season is complete.
There were some exciting wins last week. Lake Region was able to end the regular season at 5-5 thanks to 20 carries, 86 yards and two touchdowns from senior running back Iverson Brandon, who led Lake Region to a 14-6 win over Mulberry on Thursday. Auburndale capped off its regular season with a stellar 8-2 record following a 36-0 victory over Winter Haven on Thursday thanks to the offense rolling, yet senior linebacker Elijah Dias posted 19 total tackles.
Lake Wales went to 8-2 thanks to a 41-14 statement win over Bartow on Friday. Freshman quarterback Kingston Lloyd passed for three touchdowns in the game.
Victory Christian finished the regular season with a 4-5 record after a 20-12 win over Tenoroc on Friday, and that was led by the performance of junior quarterback Cru Slocum who posted three touchdown passes.
Then there was the Santa Fe Hawks that are up to 9-2 following a decisive 21-7 win over Gateway Charter on Thursday in the SSAA Class 3A Championships in the first round of the postseason, which was led by another 100-yard rushing performance from senior Zyrell Thomas.
After a 28-18 win over Northside Christian, Lakeland Christian finished the regular season 8-2, and that was largely behind the efforts of senior running back Colton Pierce and junior quarterback Brody Brenneman, who both posted two rushing touchdowns each.
Lastly, Ridge Community now has a 5-5 record following a 22-8 win over Davenport last Thursday. Freshman Victor Joseph had a big interception in the fourth quarter to end a drive and seal the deal.
With these Polk County victories in mind, vote now for the most impressive win from Week 11. Take into consideration individual performances and context. This vote will end on Thursday.
