Adrian Schools voters reject $27.5M bond proposal. What we know

Adrian Public Schools voters rejected a $27.5 million bond proposal May 5, according to unofficial results.

The proposal would’ve addressed building and site improvements, including the construction of a new recreation center adjacent to Adrian High School and updates to the Julianne and George Argyros Performing Arts Center.

The unofficial tally was 2,322 votes against and 2,011 votes in favor. All vote tallies remain unofficial until reviewed by the Board of Canvassers.

Meanwhile, a 1-mill operating proposal from the Clinton Township Public Library was approved 379 votes to 285 votes. The levy will fund library operations, maintenance and improvements 2026-2035, generating an estimated $167,000 in 2026.
