Sungjae Im has been in charge throughout the 2026 Valspar Championship. Can he tame the Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course one more time for his first PGA Tour win since 2021?
The 27-year-old from South Korea briefly lost his grip on the lead with back-to-back bogeys in the third round, but he rebounded with help from an uneasy finish by David Lipsky, his partner in the final pairing Saturday. Im carded a 2-under 69 to enter the final round at 11 under par, two strokes ahead of Lipsky and Brandt Snedeker, who improved his chances of snagging his 10th career victory with a bogey-free 4-under Round 3. The 45-year-old Nashville native hasn’t won on Tour since 2018.
Marco Penge and Matt Fitzpatrick, who came up short at last week’s Players Championship, put up matching 3-under 68s to stay in contention three strokes behind the leader. If the top five collapses on the final day, S.H. Kim and Adrien Dumont de Chassart are lurking at 6 under after both had stellar third rounds.
