The wife of a West Palm Beach city commissioner is running to replace him in office when his term ends next year.
Erin Peduzzi, wife of Commissioner Joe Peduzzi, filed this month to run for the District 4 commission seat in March.
Joe Peduzzi, first elected in 2019, will step down because of term limits. His wife is the first candidate to file to run to replace him.
Erin Peduzzi, 48, is an attorney who works with her husband in their family-owned personal injury law firm. The couple live in the Club at Ibis community in northwestern West Palm Beach.
Her campaign is being managed by political consulting firm Cornerstone Solutions. She has been endorsed by Mayor Keith James and the five sitting city commissioners, all of whose campaigns have been managed by Cornerstone.
“For the last eight years, I have had the privilege of standing alongside my husband, Joe, as he has served District 4,” Erin Peduzzi said in a statement.
“I’ve attended meetings, listened to residents, and spent countless hours in neighborhoods across our city,” she continued. “West Palm Beach has made tremendous progress over the past several years, and I am ready to continue that work while ensuring District 4 residents continue to have a strong voice at City Hall.”
The election is March 9, 2027.
