Warriors 'still interested' in drafting recent NCAA champion

Although lots of speculation has surrounded the Warriors and their potential interest in Iowa point guard Bennett Stirtz, the team still may target a forward with the No. 11 overall selection instead. According to Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report, sources say that Golden State is “very interested” in selecting him at No. 11.

While Lendeborg may not have the highest ceiling considering his age (23) as opposed to other prospects, there’s no denying what he could bring to the Warriors rotation right away. Last season at Michigan, Lendeborg led the Wolverines to an NCAA title, averaging 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals. Listed at 6’9″ with a 7’3″ wingspan, Lendeborg’s defense and decision-making could quickly make him a mainstay in Golden State’s rotation.
