Several Coachella Valley restaurants were closed or downgraded by Riverside County health inspectors this week, according to reports.
Terra Lago Golf Club in Indio was shut down due to a vermin infestation, which included several dead and alive cockroaches and rodent droppings found all throughout the facility. Inspectors will return within a week for a reinspection.
Additionally, Infusion Beach Club in Palm Springs was closed due to operating without a valid permit. The facility will need to complete various paperwork and a reinspection before it can open its doors again.
Elsewhere, Sushi Bento in Indio received a “C” grade, while Cardenas Market, Eastern Buffet and Santiago Mexican Food in Coachella, Round Table Pizza in Indio and an unspecified area inside JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa in Palm Desert scored “B” grades. Downgrades were due to a variety of violations, including improper hot and cold food holding temperatures, improper warewashing techniques, vermin and others.
Each facility will be reinspected by the county.
