Child sex investigation leads to 3 North Port arrests

The North Port Police Department announced in a social media post Thursday that three people were arrested in connection with an investigation involving alleged sexual activity with a child.

Police said 19-year-old Jayden Boothe, 20-year-old Elijah Ballentine and 19-year-old Ryan Deluca were identified after investigators received a tip alleging multiple juveniles were being victimized.

The department said detectives worked quickly to identify the suspects and take them into custody.

North Port police also credited its Intelligence Unit, Real Time Crime Center, Criminal Investigations Division, Special Enforcement Team, SWAT Team and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement with assisting in the investigation.

“Cases involving the victimization of children are among the most disturbing we investigate,” North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said in the post. “Our response is immediate and relentless. I am proud of the work our teams did to quickly identify these suspects and get them off the street.”

Police said all three suspects were arrested and booked into the Sarasota County Jail.

Anyone with information related to these individuals should contact the North Port Police Department at 941-429-7300.
