How many players make the cut at US Open?
Of the 156 players who entered the tournament, 60 are guaranteed to make the cut and play this weekend. That number can grow to account for ties. Last year, 66 players made the cut at 7 over.
Will Scottie Scheffler make the cut?
Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 ranked player in the world, needs a U.S. Open championship to complete his career Grand Slam. He will begin his second round at 2 over after shooting a 72 in Round 1.
Will Dustin Johnson make the cut?
This question wasn’t even on the table around 11 a.m. Friday. Johnson was 4 under for the tournament, a shot off the lead. But his back nine in Round 2 has been a disaster. After a birdie on 10, he doube-bogeyed 11, bogeyed 12 and 13 and then took a snowman eight on the par-4 15th.
Will Bryson DeChambeau make the cut?
The LIV Golf star, one of the most popular golfers in the world, put himself in an early hole in Round 2 with a pair of double bogeys. But his birdie on the eighth hole brought him to within a shot of the current cut line.
He was right on the cut line at 3 over near noon. But his bogeys on 13, 15 and 17 proved too much to overcome to make the weekend.
