After he was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams, quarterback Ty Simpson enjoyed the traditions that most first-round selections who attend the event get to experience. One of those is when the parents and family members of the expected top picks pre-record videos, talking about the player and their journey to the league.
The NFL recently released Simpson’s, where he watched his family tell stories of his childhood competitiveness, fighting in the yard with siblings, his early experiences with football, and how much they love the Rams’ next QB1.
Simpson was selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Football runs in his family as his father, Jason, recorded his video wearing the colors of the University of Tennessee Martin, where he has been the head football coach for the last 20 years. Ty’s brother, Graham, is a high school quarterback in Tennessee, as well.
