The final bell has rung, and the 2025-26 school year is officially in the rearview mirror. Now comes the fun part: looking back at the performances we’ll be talking about for years.

Record books were rewritten. Playoff games were taken over. Stars delivered when their teams needed them most.

These are The Record’s top 15 single-game flag football performances of the year.

Sierra’s Kohoutek stuffs stat sheet with three touchdowns, four interceptions against Gustine

As far as filling up a stat sheet goes, Maitland Kohoutek left little untouched. The Sierra senior athlete completed 4 of 9 passes for 3 touchdowns while adding 4 interceptions on defense in a 65-0 victory over Gustine on Aug. 23.

Tracy’s Fry dominates in season opener with 122 receiving yards, four touchdowns

Getting off to a strong start is important, and sophomore Eden Fry helped Tracy do just that. The sophomore athlete caught eight passes for 122 yards and four touchdowns in a 26-12 victory over Millennium in the season opener on Aug. 25.

Bear Creek’s Rios puts on clinic with eight touchdowns in SJAA-opening win

League play had barely begun, but Bear Creek was already sending a message. Siannah Rios led the charge in a 69-0 rout of Weston Ranch on Aug. 27, completing 18 of 22 passes for 206 yards and six touchdowns while adding two rushing scores.

Edison’s Lopez once again defies the odds with five interceptions against Amador

One five-interception game is remarkable. Two in less than a week is even harder to comprehend. Edison freshman Mya Lopez made it happen, picking off five passes in a 20-13 victory over Amador on Aug. 28 after doing the same thing just days earlier.

St. Mary’s gets past Lodi behind DaCruz’s two-way brilliance

With little margin for error against Lodi, St. Mary’s needed a player who could impact the game in every phase. Presley DaCruz answered the call. The senior athlete accounted for 437 yards of offense while adding five tackles and an interception on defense in a 33-32 victory on Sept. 5.

Bear Creek tops Franklin behind Choeun’s 172 yards, three touchdowns

Trying to slow down Ella Choeun proved to be a difficult task for Franklin. The Bear Creek senior athlete piled up 172 total yards and three touchdowns in a 25-6 victory on Sept. 15, catching nine passes for 146 yards and two scores while adding a rushing touchdown.

McNair rides Navarro’s four touchdowns, two interceptions past Laguna Creek

Anjuile Navarro seemed to be everywhere for McNair on Sept. 20. The senior athlete caught six passes for 104 yards and three touchdowns while adding two interceptions, including a pick-six, in a 38-0 shutout of Laguna Creek.

Double-digit tackles, two interceptions help Hunkin lift St. Mary’s over Tracy

Defensive battles often come down to a handful of plays. Sosefina Hunkin seemed to make all of them for St. Mary’s on Sept. 24, finishing with 11 tackles and two interceptions in an 18-7 victory over Tracy.

Lathrop’s De Luna continues remarkable run with third straight five-touchdown game

Not one. Not two. But three straight games with five touchdown passes. Lathrop senior quarterback Luz De Luna capped the remarkable stretch on Oct. 1, throwing for 200 yards and five scores in a 35-0 shutout of Pacheco.

Kimball blanks Lincoln behind Coronado’s 486 yards, nine touchdowns

Talk about video game numbers. In a 67-0 shutout of Lincoln on Oct. 1, Kimball senior quarterback Emma Coronado threw for 401 yards and seven touchdowns while adding 85 rushing yards and two more scores.

Townsend does it all for St. Mary’s with four touchdowns, four interceptions

The number four seemed to follow Mila Townsend everywhere on Oct. 2. In St. Mary’s 60-0 victory over Stagg, the sophomore athlete hauled in 11 receptions for 120 yards and four touchdowns while adding four interceptions on defense.

Kimball’s Coronado stays red hot with 513 yards, seven touchdowns against St. Mary’s

Performances like this don’t happen by accident. Just four days after torching Lincoln, Kimball’s Emma Coronado showed exactly why she would go on to finish second in the nation in passing yards and total offense, completing 40 of 46 passes for 411 yards and seven touchdowns while adding 102 rushing yards in a 51-14 victory over St. Mary’s on Oct. 5.

Five touchdowns from Gasper help East Union take control of VOL title race

With Central Catholic just one game back in the VOL race, the stakes were clear when the teams met Oct. 9. Julianna Gasper responded with five touchdown passes, completing 26 of 37 throws for 252 yards in a 32-13 victory that helped East Union take control of the league race.

Her lights up Edison with eight touchdown passes as McNair clinches second in SJAA

Even with first place out of reach, McNair still had plenty to play for. Haley Her made sure the Eagles secured second place, completing 21 of 29 passes for 235 yards and eight touchdowns in a 58-0 victory over Edison on Oct. 20.

Lathrop advances behind Ray’s two touchdowns, two interceptions in playoff opener

The postseason often rewards players who can change a game in multiple ways. Jaleiyah Ray was one of them on Oct. 29, finishing with a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown and two interceptions while helping Lathrop roll past Ripon 46-12 in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division III first round.
