1. MONDAY: Marco Island Hurricane Preparedness Town Hall
The city of Marco Island will host a “Hurricane Preparedness Town Hall” from noon until 2 p.m., Monday, June 22, in the Community Meeting Room, 51 Bald Eagle Drive, Marco Island.
Meteorologist Rob Duns from Gulfcoast NBC/ABC will give a presentation and forecast for this year’s Hurricane season.

2. THIS WEEKEND: Billy Currington at Hertz Arena
The Georgia-born country singer is known for his laid-back vibes and big country hits, including “Good Directions,” “People Are Crazy,” “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer” and “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right.” The concert features opening acts Kelsey Hart and Kenny Whitmore. 3. FRIDAY: Pirate Day on Marco Island
Ahoy! It’s Pirate Day at the Marco Island Historical Museum from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., Friday, June 19, at the Marco Island Historical Museum, 180 S. Heathwood Drive, Marco Island.
The event is free and will include seafaring-themed family games like Pirate Plinko and crafting a pirate boat. Collect coins and tickets to win pirate booty from the MIHM treasure chest. Swashbuckling entertainment will include a pirate-y face painter to perfect your look.
Food for purchase will be provided by the Optimist Club of Marco Island. Large groups are asked to call in advance, 239-252-1440.
