The San Joaquin County Human Services Agency’s Food For You Program will hold 23 food distributions throughout March.
Food distributions will take place over seven days throughout the month. These dates include March 4, 5, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 25. The food distributions will kick off at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4 at the Lodi Salvation Army, 525 W. Lockeford St. in Lodi. This is the only scheduled food distribution on this day. Other dates may have multiple distributions in one day.
“Items include shelf-stable canned vegetables, fruit, meat and dry foods such as rice or pasta,” a San Joaquin County Human Services Agency news release states.
San Joaquin County residents who meet the income guidelines and self-certify that they are residents of San Joaquin County will receive free food.
Anyone receiving free food will be required to complete the EFAP Certification of Eligibility document to declare income eligibility, the San Joaquin County Food For You website states. Bringing your own bag or box is recommended.
“The zip codes correspond to neighboring communities near the distribution sites,” the news release states. “The food may run out before the scheduled ending time.”

According to the news release, an additional $1,077.09 can be added to the monthly income for every additional person in the household.

The first food distribution at the Lodi Salvation Army corresponds to the ZIP codes 95240, 95241, 95242, 95220 and 95632. There will be 23 total food distributions over seven days in March.
