UCLA lands early commitment from in-state cornerback

The UCLA Bruins have one of the best 2027 recruiting classes in the country, and they just made a splash in the 2029 cycle. Cornerback Kiingbaraka Kizzee committed to UCLA on Sunday, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

While it is extremely early in his recruitment, Kizzee has already emerged as a national recruit. The Orange, California product has over a dozen scholarships and picked UCLA over the Oregon Ducks, California Golden Bears, USC Trojans, and North Carolina Tar Heels.

He had an excellent freshman season at Orange Lutheran High School, where he was named a MaxPreps Freshman All-American. The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder finished the season with 15 tackles, one interception, and three pass breakups.

There are no prospects currently ranked in the 2029 cycle, but he will likely have an impressive one when it is time. Rivals recently named 100 players to watch in the cycle, and Kizzee was one of 15 cornerbacks to make the list.

UCLA’s 2027 recruiting class is ranked 16th-best in the country and 5th-best in the Big Ten by Rivals. They do not currently have a 2028 commitment and can now build their 2029 class around Kizzee.
