The Los Angeles Rams’ running back tandem of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum ranked among the NFL’s most difficult backs to stuff in 2025, according to a rushing stuff rate chart from nflfastR shared via @NutshellSportz on X. Stuff rate measures the percentage of carries in which a running back is stopped for zero yards or fewer.
Williams was stopped behind or at the line on just 12.4% of his 259 carries last season, placing him among the top third of qualified backs (minimum 75 carries) in avoiding negative or no-gain runs. Corum also ranked highly, posting a 13.1% stuff rate on just 145 carries.
The low stuff rates track closely with broader league-leading efficiency numbers touted elsewhere this offseason.
Together, the low stuff rates and strong per-carry marks help explain how the Rams built one of the NFL’s best run games in 2025 despite operating on one of the league’s lowest offensive payrolls at the position. With both backs under contract and a full offseason to build on last year’s chemistry, Los Angeles projects to once again lean on Williams and Corum as a complementary duo rather than a traditional starter-and-backup setup.
