City of Victorville officials announced that a nearly two-month infrastructure improvement project this summer will force a hard lane closure on a busy stretch of roadway.
Daily hard lane closures will include northbound Amargosa Road between Hook Boulevard and Seneca Road, from the evening of July 13 through Sept. 11.
To reduce the impact on traffic, work will be performed during night and early morning hours. The closures will occur daily between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. for the duration of the project, the city stated.
While the lane closures are in effect, no northbound traffic will be allowed in the designated work zone on Amargosa Road.
Road signage and detours will be in place, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. Those who must drive in the area are asked to use caution and to expect delays.
For more information on the project, call the city of Victorville at 760-955-5158.
