One person died and three others were injured during a graduation party that ended in gunfire, according to the Visalia Police Department.
Around 10:40 p.m. Saturday, May 30, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2700 block of West Victor Avenue. A “large” graduation party was underway at the home when gunfire erupted, said Elizabeth Jones, a spokesperson for the Visalia Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he later died, Jones said. His name and age were not released by police.
Three other victims were also shot but are expected to recover.
Violent Crimes detectives responded to the scene to investigate and interview partygoers. Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect.
